First picture of ‘cheeky’ two-year-old who fell into the River Soar is released

A two-year-old boy believed to have fallen into the River Soar has been named as police continue their search. Xielo Maruziva’s parents described their son as a “cheeky, funny” boy who is “a bundle of joy” in a statement released through Leicestershire Police on Wednesday. Specialist police divers are continuing their third full day of searches for the youngster in the Aylestone Meadows area of Leicester, despite difficult conditions caused by heavy rainfall.
