High Winds & Big Waves on the Return! Sailing Back to Benfleet

In this episode aboard Dancing Bear, we head out from Benfleet for a relaxed sail to Bridgemarsh Marina on the River Crouch — and the conditions couldn’t have been more perfect. Flat calm seas, sunshine, and an easy cruise made for a beautiful outbound passage. But the return journey was a completely different story. High winds, strong tides, and big waves turned the trip back to Benfleet into a challenging and energetic sail. Balancing the sails, handling the chop, and fighting the tide kept things lively and pushed the boat (and me!) far more than the gentle trip out.
