#sotd #traditionalshaving #wetshaving I was thrilled this morning to use Haslinhger Miele!!! A soap that's rarely seen these days, but it ensures amazing lathering and an excellent post-shave! The honey scent is light and non-invasive, and not at all cloying. Furthermore, the honey, combined with the peanut oil, provides a soothing effect that enhances the lathering experience even further. The lathering was finalized with the fantastic Zenith 506 blond bristle. A tuft that combines an interesting backbone with very soft tips. Performance-wise, it reminds me of a synthetic, holding all the soap in the tuft and lathering it endlessly. Gillette Flaretip Bluetip for a delicate, efficient, and creamy shave. Thanks to its aluminum handle, this razor made everything smooth and quick. Finally, as an Aftershave/Perfume, Extrò's new creation, Virginia, is one of three new products dedicated to tobacco. Its manufacturing process is different from the Settimo Torinese-based brand's classic emollient EDTs; it involves maceration with natural aromas, and its consistency is more like an oily fluid than a true aftershave. The effect on the skin is very "warm," leaving a soft and velvety aftershave, as well as a sweeter and more subdued alcoholic kick. Virginia was chosen because its notes also include honey, which pairs well with soap.
