Archaeological excavations at the Zurnabad fortress have confirmed that it dates back to the 13th-14th centuries. Due to its construction features, the fortress is almost similar to the Mardakan, Nardaran and Ramana fortresses in Baku. The width, length and height of the five-tower tower are intertwined. Both the width and height of the fortress are 9 meters. Zurnabad was a feudal castle. This fortress served to protect the family members of an ordinary feudal lord, his property, and was not defensive.
