Directed by Craig Gillespie ("I, Tonya"), Milly Alcock, known from "House of the Dragon," takes on the title role of a heroine grappling with her past and her place in the world. After her home planet was destroyed, Kara Zor-El was sent to Earth to protect her young cousin—but he has long since become Superman, the planet's most famous hero. When an alien girl appears, whose world was also destroyed and who, driven by revenge, wants to find those responsible, Supergirl sees an opportunity not only to help her but also to channel her own anger in a new direction. Together they embark on a perilous journey through space, where the fate of a young woman and her super-dog Krypto is at stake, rather than saving the universe.
