Variable-Length Subnet Mask (VLSM) - Subnetting Mastery - FLSM and VLSM Appendix Part 2 of 2

This video is Part 2 of 2 of an extension to the Subnetting Mastery video series. This appendix covers FLSM and VLSM (Fixed Length Subnet Mask and Variable Length Subnet Mask). In this video, we start with a typical VLSM problem: You are presented with a Network Topology, and given a required number of IP addresses for various different Networks. You then have to break up a particular network into smaller networks to accommodate each of those IP address requirements. In the video we solve it visually using a table to illustrate and conceptualize how to solve these problems. But a lot of students asked how to do these type of problems without the table. I was happy to oblige and answered the question in a live stream teaching session. The replay is available here:    • 🔴 VLSM Mastery - VLSM Problems using only ...   In this replay, I'll show you how to solve VLSM problems quickly and efficiently, using only pen and paper (no big tables or large drawings) -- this mimics certification exam scenarios. A pre-requisite to this video is to understand Subnetting. The best way to learn Subnetting is to check out all the other videos in the Subnetting Mastery video series: Part 1: What is Subnetting?    • What is Subnetting? - Subnetting Mastery -...   Part 2: Drawing the Subnetting Cheat Sheet    • Drawing the Cheat Sheet - Subnetting Maste...   Part 3: Using the Cheat Sheet    • How to solve ANY Subnetting Problems in 60...   Part 4: Practice Examples    • Practice Examples - Subnetting Mastery - P...   Part 5: Time-Saving Tricks    • Time-Saving Tricks for Subnetting - Subnet...   Part 6: Subnetting in the /17-/24 range    • Subnetting in the /17 - /24 range - Subnet...   Part 7: Subnetting in the /1-/16 range    • Subnetting in the /1 - /16 range - Subnett...   FLSM and VLSM - Part 1:    • Fixed-Length Subnet Mask (FLSM) - Subnetti...   FLSM and VLSM - Part 2: (scroll up) https://www.practicalnetworking.net https://subnetIPv4.com #subnetting #vlsm #flsm
