January 24, 2003 Report on the Linas-Marcoussis Agreement, which could lead Côte d'Ivoire out of the crisis. This agreement provides, among other things, for the appointment of a Prime Minister accepted by both loyalists and rebels, and for President Laurent Gbagbo to lose power. This agreement sparked a revolt among the President's supporters in Abidjan.
