NASCAR Heat 2 Throwback Career Part 35- The First Cut

An absolute pressure cooker of a race played out in Vegas as an ill timed caution trapped a good chunk of the playoff drivers a lap down with little hope of gaining it back. Cindric, Nemechek, and Bell were able to take advantage of keeping their lead lap status and climbed their way to the top three spots in playoff points. We also salvaged our day with a nice free pass and a good run, returning to the top ten by the end of the race. Talladega is now the only thing that stands between a few drivers and a berth to the next round. While not mathematically true yet, the fight for the last spot in the round of six seems to be between Gragson, Rhodes and Chastain, all of whom finished off the lead lap in Vegas. Gragson holds the advantage by six points on Rhodes and twenty-two on Chastain. One race to the cut, let the chaos begin!
