The doors are provided to facilitate loading and unloading of the machine. There is an icon-based touchscreen for performing various cycle operations on the load side. On the unload side are indicator lights, two acknowledgment push buttons, an emergency stop, and, if selected, an optional printer. If you're using the single-door model, your unit has all load-side features. Running a Cycle: Pre-programmed cycles and cycle icons are used to start a cycle and track its progress. To initiate a cycle, select “Cycle” from Ready mode to see pre-programmed options. Once the cycle is finished, a signal sounds and the control screen displays the “Cycle Completed” screen. A detailed printout is generated documenting the cycle parameters. Routine Care & Maintenance To keep the washer in excellent condition, it’s important to clean and maintain it regularly. A maintenance schedule can be found in the Operator Manual. Some maintenance activities should be performed by a qualified service technician. Certain preventive maintenance activities must be done by a STERIS service technician or a STERIS-trained service technician in your facility. These activities include HEPA filter verification and replacement, Squeeze Tube verification, Chemical Injection Pump verification, and inspecting and cleaning the Rotary Spray Arm assemblies. Professional standard organizations recognize the importance of monitoring your mechanical and chemical cleaning process. STERIS recommends using the Verify® All Clean Test Washer Indicator on a daily basis to monitor washer cycles. After the last cycle has been completed each day, you’ll need to clean & rinse off the Debris Screen. Weekly Maintenance: • Clean the outside of the washer • Inspect and clean rack spray arms and tips • Run the decontamination cycle Some maintenance activities occur on an as-needed basis. This includes replenishing the processing chemicals and replacing the printer paper and ink cartridge. In addition to routine maintenance, regularly scheduled preventive maintenance is essential for ensuring peak performance and avoiding unscheduled downtime.
