If we pour "by eye," how do we know if there's too much gasoline? Turn the bottle over: if it spills, let the excess drain. We just need the cotton wool to be soaked and the gasoline to evaporate! Zippo filler cap: 1/2 = 7.5 ml, full = 15 ml. Chinese filler cap: 1/2 = 6 ml, full = 12 ml. The catalytic converter from my Chinese Zippo doesn't fit on the heating pad (it's a bit too small). But you can bend it with pliers and it will fit. They're similar. The Zippo one fits on the Chinese one, but it doesn't stay in place; it wobbles, but if you bend it, it'll fit fine. So bend it. But it needs to fit tightly, otherwise it won't work properly. We want the gasoline to evaporate only through the catalytic converter, not through any cracks.
