VAXEE NP-01s V3 | The mel0n Review

This is the VAXEE NP-01s V3, the latest iteration of their rather nichely shaped asymmetrical mouse series. About 3 years ago, I reviewed the first iteration of the NP-01s, and while it maintained the expected VAXEE quality & performance, at the time I wasn’t the biggest fan of the hybrid shaping, as it was my first time using an asymmetrical mouse shape, which led to my experience with the mouse being less than ideal due to my inexperience. But three years later, I’ve gotten much more comfortable with mice that utilize more niche shapes like the NP-01s’s. And compared to the V1, and even the V2 of the NP-01s, and all of VAXEE’s other mice for that matter, the V3 is a significant improvement across the board, as essentially every aspect of the mouse has been improved or redesigned, with the exception of the shape which has remained unchanged. However, while the V3 is a great next-step for VAXEE, the mouse isn’t without its growing pains, as some of the re-designed aspects of the mouse aren’t up to the standards I’ve come to expect from VAXEE’s products, and as such I found some aspects of the mouse a bit underwhelming. But aside from the issue areas, the mouse is still a very good release, and a great indication for the future of VAXEE’s products, though this one needs a few tweaks.
