Madonna in her younger early years in struggle street NYC - Sleeping in cockroach-infested unit blocks or on the studio floor where she is recording with her band 'Emmy' - having no money no with little to eat and the cheapest thing to purchase was popcorn or Cheez doodles (as seen in "Desperately Seeking Susan" and that was her idea lol) - She was working for a goal as that processed and cheap snacks/meals - they gave her the carbs for energy to perform in clubs, occasionally she would get so hungry and desperate that she resorted to going through trash cans... Here is a look a the 5 years Madonna spent living on the streets trying to find her way into the music industry - She was always carrying her demo cassette and talking to DJs that are into playing her recording - it was 'Everybody'. The DJs were impressed because the crowd would always get up and dance to her song - finally people took notice. This is in memory of the streetwise girl from the Midwest motor town Detroit that conquered the world.
