Overwatch: What Is a SUPPORT!? - Hero Roles Are Wrong!

The hero roles as described by the game from Blizzard can be a bit misleading if you misuse them. Blizzard themselves have openly stated that the role tags of "defense, support etc" are for NEW players to quickly identify Overwatch heroes, but not necessarily to define their playstyles. This can be a bit of an issue when discussing tech heroes who provide mostly utility to Overwatch gameplay that in a MOBA context would definitely be considered supportive in nature, in Overwatch many players have a reluctance to see them that way. However, pro players have already lifted the veil of the arbitrary role names in order to better command the heroes abilities and the types team compositions they facilitate, to fail to do this is to be forever stuck in the 'standard' 2-2-2 team composition that has been a mainstay in Overwatch gameplay, however albeit that is viable, it ignores the many other viable approaches to the game. Especially as new heroes get introduced and seeing as ALL the new heroes we've received have had high tech capabilities that open new types of team comps to reveal to be useful, we shouldn't limit ourselves to seeing supports as "healers" and "those who kill" as DPS, especially as that's not what those terms mean. DPS is literally Damage Per Second, not "win a duel" Winston can win duels and has very low DPS. Even with a year into Overwatch 's life, there's still a lot of work to define and categorize "What is Overwatch?" and its playstyles, roles and especially, isolated 'attribute' tags that apply across roles. What are some attribute tags that you think should be included in Overwatch?
