MESSAGE NOTES John 1:1-5 ESV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Jesus IS God. Hebrews 1:3a NIV The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. Jesus is God spelled out in flesh. John 14:9b ESV Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. John 10:30 ESV I and the Father are one. Jesus created all things. The Jesus who created everything can handle anything. Matthew 16:13-15 ESV 13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” What you believe about Jesus will shape your faith, your identity, your relationships, your decisions, and your eternity. Jesus is life. You cannot find real life apart from Jesus.
