Abandoned Kmart - Azle, TX

Abandoned Kmart - Azle, TX. Closed in 2003, this was one of several locations across the DFW area all of which closed in 2003 due to Kmart Corporation's bankruptcy. Kmart as a whole was struggling in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and pulled completely out just as Sears Holdings was formed. So for 17 years this Kmart has sat vacant, decaying, and currently sits full of fixtures. Part of the store was repurposed for the chain, Bealls which has since also closed.
