Falken Toyota Supra GT 24h Rennen Nürburgring 2000

Footage from the evening qualifying session for the 24-hour race at dusk. The first and only time a Toyota Supra from the Japanese GT Championship competed in a race in Germany. Fielded by the Falken Team, the flame-spewing JGTC GT500 Biturbo unfortunately had no luck and was forced to retire from the 24-hour race due to an accident on the Nordschleife. Although the team had a second complete Supra with them as a parts donor, the car could not be repaired and they retired. In the following years, the Falken Team concentrated on fielding the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. Coverage during the qualifying practice of the 24-hour race in the evening hours at dusk. The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in 2000 was the first and only time that a Supra in JGTC GT500 specifications took part in a race in Germany or Europe. Unfortunately, the wonderful flame-spewing biturbo had to retire due to an accident. The Falken Team brought another GT500 Supra for spare parts to the race but they could not fix the damage. In the following years Falken showed up with the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.
