Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police Forensic Laboratory, AKBP Roy Tenno Siburian, said that his team detected gas originating from inside the house. "So, the air on the second and first floors is a single unit, so if there's gas there, it will mix on the second and first floors. This damage indicates that the second floor is the most severe," he said on Wednesday (July 22). He explained that this evidence is due to the relatively light nature of methane gas, which causes it to immediately rise upwards, accumulating at a point where there are no air ducts.
