Hornby 00 Gauge Live Steam on the Modular Model Railway - 6K Subscriber Special!
In this 6K Subscriber Special I'm finally running the Hornby Live Steam on the Modular Model Railway! Well here we are at 6K Subscribers already, I had to do something special and I really think you'll like what I've got in store for today's video. Earlier this year I made a couple of videos featuring my Hornby Live Steam A4 Mallard and you guys really seemed to enjoy those videos. Ever since then a lot of you have been asking me to run the Hornby Live Steam on the Modular Model Railway... and today I'm making that dream a reality! As you'll see in the video, this wasn't without it's problems. By it's very nature, the Modular Model Railway is easy to dismantle and reassemble but over time a few little gremlins have crept in. The Hornby Live Steam also doesn't operate like our conventional 12v DC and DCC models and so it took bit of head scratching to figure out how to get everything working. Did I succeed and did the Hornby Live Steam Mallard run on the Modular Model Railway? Well you'll have to watch to find out! Chapters: 00:00 - Intro 01:57 - Testing with The Flying Scotsman 05:10 - Track Joint Maintenance 06:20 - A Failed Attempt 07:20 - Voltage Drop! 08:19 -Steaming Up 10:31 - The Final Run! 13:12 - Conclusion Thanks for watching!
