Walschaert gear model steam engine

Il motore è stato costruito nel 1920 circa dal sig. Dandolo Serra, a Villafranca d' Asti. Abbandonato nel terriccio di una cantina umida, fu ritrovato oltre 50 anni dopo, ridotto ad un blocco di ruggine. Il restauro ha richiesto il rifacimento di alcuni particolari, perduti o troppo compromessi dalla ruggine. Distribuzione Walschaert a cassetto piano, alesaggio/corsa mm 50 x 56. Sono presenti la valvola d' introduzione del vapore, il regolatore automatico a masse centrifughe e una pompa a pistone per l' introduzione dell' acqua in caldaia.
