"Acquiring the Holy Spirit and Life in the World" is the third and final talk by Father Konstantin Korepanov at the annual International Rally for Sobriety and Health "Ural-2026," which took place from July 9 to 15, 2026, on the shores of the Mariinsky Reservoir. We're accustomed to thinking that acquiring grace is the province of monks, while ordinary people in the world can only sigh for an unattainable ideal. But is this really so? Can spouses, parents, workers, and teachers attain holiness without abandoning their place in life? It turns out that the grace of the Holy Spirit is already given to each of us—like a seed that only requires the right conditions. How can we learn to see reasons for gratitude in our lives and thereby experience God's love? Why do forgiveness and mercy in everyday circumstances become the most important feat of a layperson? What does it mean to do God's will while remaining at work or with family? And how do prayer and the fulfillment of the commandments transform everyday life into a path to acquiring the Spirit?
