Growing new orchids from seed
In this video, I share the details of how orchid capsules from two new crosses are surface sterilized, rinsed with water, and the cut open to reveal the new seed. I show how the seed is removed, suspended in water, and plated on the surface of orchid seed germination medium. Finally, I show images of the seeds under the microscope and identify the embryos within the seed.
