IGAS2022 | Lithrone GX40 advance SmartColor

IGAS 2022 (International Graphic Arts Show) was held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan from November 24 to 28. Komori built a Smart Factory in our booth under the concept of "Connected Automation :Opening Doors to Production Innovation. In the Packaging Solutions, we demonstrated Smart Color, which reproduces special colors in fixed colors on the latest Lithrone GX40 advance. Since no color change is required, preparation time and materials have been dramatically reduced. Furthermore, the double coater expands the range of new printing expression and proposes high added-value printing. What is Smart Color? Smart Color is a technology that reproduces multiple special colors without color changeover. Specifically, a wide color gamut is achieved by printing with seven colors (CMYK+three colors of violet, green, and orange) or six colors (CMYK+two colors of green and orange). Smart color eliminates the need for color changes and roller washing operations. Since inks can be operated at standard densities by converting to process colors, color adjustment time is also reduced. Also, the preparation of special inks to meet delivery deadlines and the stocking of frequently used special inks are no longer necessary, freeing you from the need to manage a huge number of special colors.
