Using only a hand router, a 6mm MDF template, and a top-bearing milling cutter, we perform all the machining of the piece in a practical, precise, and accessible way for those who want to produce high-value cutting boards without investing in more complex equipment. In addition, we show how to use a 45-degree milling cutter to create a detail on the underside of the board that provides an incredible visual effect, giving the sensation that the piece is "floating." A simple finish, but one that makes all the difference in the final result.
