Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer when they encountered a man who had been lame from birth. Pedro y Juan subían al templo a la hora de la oración cuando encontraron a un hombre que era cojo de nacimiento. This man was placed daily at the Beautiful Gate to beg for money from those entering the temple. A este hombre lo colocaban diariamente a la puerta llamada Hermosa para pedir limosna a los que entraban al templo. The lame man expected to receive money, but God had something far greater prepared for him. El cojo esperaba recibir dinero, pero Dios tenía preparado algo mucho mayor para él.
