Those left behind are lost forever. Icarus was once meant to be a second Earth, but after the failed terraforming project, the air became toxic, shattering humanity's hopes of colonizing a new world. Icarus became a laughingstock and a symbol of humanity's aspirations to reach for the stars, only to fail miserably. But when xeno-biologists discovered the cause of the failure—exotic matter—interest was reignited. This incredibly valuable exotic matter has sparked a gold rush and created a tense political situation on Earth, as new miners flock to Icarus. Face off and conquer a brutal PvE world that will stop at nothing to wear you down and tear you to pieces. From its toxic atmosphere and ferocious wildlife to dangerous storms, Icarus is a capricious planet. Preparation and planning are crucial, whether you need to build a shelter, find an oxygen source, hunt your next meal, or replenish your supplies for a long journey through the wilderness. Immerse yourself in a deceptively familiar yet alien world. The first cohorts of miners have received a preliminary mining permit, allowing them to explore over 64 square kilometers of terrain filled with hidden areas and diverse biomes, handcrafted for resource gathering and exploration. Use the resources of your environment to survive—every tree can be gathered and every stone mined. Master three tech trees: Planet, Player Talents, and Orbital Workshop. Use the planet's resources to craft tools, structures, and machines that will protect you and facilitate your mission. Develop unique skills and enhance your basic talents as you gain experience on the planet's surface. Return to orbit with rare, exotic materials to acquire advanced technologies. Choose which skills to develop and which technologies to bring on your next mission to complete missions faster, travel further, automate production, and increase your chances of survival. Every decision matters. Your time on Icarus is limited, so keep a close eye on the clock and use every second wisely. Choose from periods lasting hours, days, or weeks. However, if you fail to return to the dropship in time to reach the space station, there is no saving you. Or, plan your time to establish a permanent outpost on the planet. Each landing presents you with a clear objective and a time limit. How you tackle these challenges, however, is entirely up to you. Your character is everything. Learn the intricacies of the atmosphere, face new threats, and overcome your inner demons. The cautious survive, the bold thrive.
