To get there from the Chilean side, take Route 41 from La Serena to the Elqui Valley, then fill up your tank at Rivadavia (the last gas station). In Huanta, go to the Oasis mini market, fill out the forms, and then go in. If you're coming from the Argentine side, you have three options: if there's no one there, you have to wait in line 🤣, or the gendarmes get overwhelmed and let you into the hot springs without papers. Worst case scenario, you'll have to go all the way to Huanta and back to fill out the forms.
