Wild-Camping in the TANKWA KAROO | Overlanding in South Africa

The Tankwa Karoo is about 3 hours drive out of Cape Town and easily one of my favourite places to visit. A group of us Overlanders headed out into the Tankwa for a weekend of Wild-Camping. 11 Amazing rigs convoyed into the Karoo, a scene of pure bliss and beauty! The first night we spent not far from the Tankwa Padstal enjoying the stary night sky which the Tankwa provides. After that, we headed out towards the Tankwa Tented Campsite where we stopped for a nice cool-down session. From the Tankwa Tented Campsite, we headed west towards Richards farm where we would spend our second night. This was true wild-camping, in the middle of a farm in the middle of the Tankwa Karoo. We were blessed that afternoon with an absolutely beautiful sunset. Sunday came and we convoyed back along the R355 and with a quick lunch break at the Tankwa Padstal, we all split in our separate ways, for now at least. It was an epic weekend, with great people, amazing builds and memories which will last a lifetime!
