The Art Center College of Design Award went to the stunning 1967 Ferrari 412P in the colour scheme of UK Ferrari Importer Maranello Concessionaires. The 1968 Howmet TX Coupe with the jet turbine engine claimed this years Pebble Beach Concours Chairman’s Trophy. The Phil Hill Cup named for America’s first Formula One World Champion went to the 1929 Bentley 4 ½ Birkin Blower Number 4 Vanden Plas Le Mans Tourer, owned by clothing designer Ralph Lauren. Another award was the Tony Hulman Trophy. The award named after the patriarch of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway empire was taken home by a special car from the speedway the 1919 Ballot Indy Race car from the Miles Collier collection at the Revs Institute The most prestigious award in the Concours world, The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance best in show went to the 1931 Bentley 8 Liter Gurney Nutting Tourer owned by the the Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie from Hong Kong.
