🥾 My Lining Crag challenge! Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk - Day 3: Rosthwaite to Grasmere
How scary is Lining Crag? Join me on my big adventure as I tackle leg 3 of Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk accompanied by husband Nick and son Toby. This long distance hiking trail (c190 miles) reaches across the beautiful landscapes of Northern England. Starting from the cute village of St Bees in Cumbria to the stunning North Yorkshire coastline. In this video, I share our experiences on our Day 3 of the C2C trail, starting out in Rosthwaite, climbing up out of Borrowdale alongside Greenup Gill, tackiling the challenge of Lining Crag, then heading down the low route, along Far Easedale into Grasmere. I was very nervous about the challenge of Lining Crag, but very excited to be exploring more of Borrowdale. Some of the questions going through my mind include... ❗️How hard is it? 🥪 Will my fear of heights get the better of me? 🧭 Will we find our way or wander off track? Sharing the lessons we learned on this third leg of our C2C adventure, which we are completing over the summer months of 2026 rather than in one big go. If you fancy walking this Coast to Coast trail then this vlog could be very useful for you, especially if you are worried about your fitness, want to see the terrain or are scared of heights like me😳 Subscribe for the next legs on this stunning route (If we make it!). Planning: For this leg we stayed in Keswick, got the bus from Keswic to Rosthwaite and then returned to Keswick via bus from Grasmere.
