Information Session | “The War on Children” Call for Papers

The Alliance recently hosted an information session for the Call for Papers for the special issue “The War on Children,” an Official Publication of the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (ISPCAN). Children affected by armed conflict continue to face grave violations, displacement, and increasing protection risks across multiple contexts. At the same time, practitioners, communities, and organisations are developing innovative approaches to prevent harm and support children’s recovery. This special issue aims to document and amplify research and practice-based evidence on protecting children in armed conflict, with a strong focus on frontline experience and locally grounded solutions. This provided an overview of the special issue to support potential contributors to engage with the Call for Papers. With the submission deadline extended to 15 June 2026, this session offered an opportunity to strengthen the representation of diverse, practice-based perspectives in global discussions on protecting children affected by armed conflict.
