During the Mughal rule, this place was a place of crocodile hunting. British officials used to come here to enjoy the hunting as well as the beautiful scenery The waterfall is a natural habitat of crocodiles and therefore the Bihar government has developed it as a tourist destination as well as a crocodile conservation reserve. The Forest and Environment Department has also constructed an eco park, selfie point and hanging swing next to the Karakatgarh waterfall. Besides, many beautiful shapes have been made with the help of wood which is quite beautiful to look at. A cordon has also been put up around the waterfall of Karakat Garh to prevent any mishaps. People flock to see this waterfall.The river water falls about 600 feet in Karakat Garh. Crocodiles live about 200 meters before the waterfall. They were tracked by a wildlife team on behalf of the forest department. The team arrived in January and tracked the crocodiles by various methods. As many as 80 crocodiles were claimed during the incident.
