Ethiopian handbag designer Abai Schulze
From an African orphanage to being adopted by an American family, Ethiopian designer Abai Schulze, the gusty entrepreneur returned to her native country a few years ago. Sourcing materials, overseeing crafting techniques, and securing distribution channels, Schulze does it all. The company employed dozens of Ethiopians, particularly women.
