Melbourne | City Walk from Fed Square to the NGV

Step into the heart of Melbourne with this city walk starting at Federation Square, one of the city’s most iconic cultural hubs. From there, we wander past the colourful, ever‑changing world of Hosier Lane, famous for its street art and creative energy. Crossing over to St Paul’s Cathedral, we take in its striking Gothic architecture before moving toward the legendary Flinders Street Station, a landmark known for its yellow façade, domes, and constant flow of commuters. We then head across Princes Bridge, taking in views of the Yarra River and Southbank, before passing Hamer Hall and the Arts Centre Melbourne, complete with its unmistakable spire rising above the skyline. The walk ends at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) — Australia’s oldest and most visited art museum — where the iconic water wall welcomes you at the entrance. This route blends Melbourne’s heritage, art, architecture, and riverfront atmosphere into one smooth, relaxing city walk.
