We took a quiet Thanksgiving trip to Hagi, a former samurai town by the sea that still feels untouched by mass tourism. In this video, we stay at an oceanfront ryokan with a private onsen, walk through historic samurai districts, explore Hagi Castle ruins, visit local museums, and experience traditional crafts like Hagi pottery and Hagi glass. Most of our travels are usually done in our camper van, staying at michi-no-eki and moving slowly across Japan. This time, we slowed things down even more and experienced a different side of rural Japan.
