In this video from August 10, 2014, I'm in Pescara, Abruzzo, at the Sanctuary and Church of San Donato V. and M. for the celebration. This place of worship is located in the southern part of Pescara. Its construction dates back to the early 18th century, although recent exterior restoration work, carried out in the 1960s, gives it the appearance of a modern building. The church has a gabled façade plastered in a reddish color, and the entrance, surmounted by a plaque and a decorative rose window, is preceded by a small marble staircase. On the left stands the small white-plastered bell gable, housing a bell pitched Ab4. The bell is electrified with a hammer for manual strikes; it is not fixed as it has rotation pins, but it is not equipped for either manual or electric strikes. The interior of the single-nave rectangular church is divided into two equal parts by a large arch and is adorned with statues such as Saint Anthony of Padua, Saint Joseph, the Sorrowful Virgin Mary, and the statue of the dead Christ in the urn. There are also several canvases, such as the Baptism of Jesus and the painting of Saint Donatus with the Virgin Mary on the wall of the tabernacle.
