Vorstellung DT2.5 Hamburger Hochbahn (H0 U-Bahn von Zeitgeist / Stadt im Modell)

In this video, I present the #H0 model type #DT2.5 of the #HHA (Hamburger Hochbahn AG) in #1zu87 by #Zeitgeist / Stadt im Modell. The #DT2 double-unit railcars were standard-gauge electric railcars with a lightweight steel construction for the 750-volt direct current network of the Hamburg U-Bahn. The second new series after World War II followed the relatively heavy #DT1 railcars. Linke-Hofmann-Busch delivered five series between 1962 and 1966. The 186 two-car units without interchangeable carriages dominated the image of the U2 and U3 U-Bahn lines (Rathaus, Rödingsmarkt, Baumwall, Landungsbrücken, St. Pauli, Mönckebergstraße, etc.) until the 1990s. With the increased use of the #DT4, the DT2s were withdrawn from service in 1993; The last scheduled service was in December 2004. After 53 years of service, the last DT2 was retired in November 2015. The successor generation, type #DT3, entered service in 1968.
