The South Calypso Tent is one of the most important cultural institutions in the calypso movement of Saint Lucia, particularly in the south of the island. It emerged not just as a performance space, but as part of a wider effort to decentralize calypso. The tent was established in the lates 90s by founders Tony Wilkinson and the late Vivian Imbert. Wilkinson remains the tent leader. This is the second showing of the South Calypso Tent.
