Round five saw EnduroGP head to Gelnica, Slovakia where Steve Holcombe overtook both Brad Freeman and Josep Garcia to take the lead in the EnduroGP standings. The now nine-time World Champion took to the longer special tests, putting in an impressive ride to win on day one. Day two belonged to Andrea Verona though, with the Italian finishing on the top step of the podium after a long day in incredibly tough conditions. It was a Fantic 1-2 in the Junior category on both days for Albin Norrbin and Jed Etchells as the pair traded places over the weekend. Sherco-mounteed Thibault Giraudon secured back-to-back wins in Gelnica, ending Kevin Cristino’s dominance in the Youth class.
