Nacida y criada en Tomé, Edymar Acevedo supo desde muy chica que quería ser bailarina. A los 10 años logró convencer a su mamá para ir a probar al Teatro Municipal de Santiago y ahí se quedó. Después de bailar por casi treinta años, Edymar se jubiló. Este 2023, a los 54 años, la volvieron a llamar del Teatro Municipal: querían que protagonizara la obra Nijinska: secreto de la vanguardia. La respuesta fue un sí rotundo, y así empezó el segundo tiempo de esta bailarina que vibra con cada paso.
