Adventure Bike Packing in Suffolk. Three Day Bike Camping Trip with Hippyswift. Part Two.

In this video, episode two of my bike packing trip across Suffolk with Luke (Hippyswift), we set off towards the pretty and popular seaside town of Southwold after a good nights sleep in the woods near Halesworth. After a short stop in the town with its picturesque lighthouse, pier, beach huts and beach, we cross the River Blyth and head south along gravel tracks and off road paths towards the village of Dunwich. Dunwich has had a tragic history - once a bustling trade town, it is now just a shadow of former self, much of the town lost to the ever destructive forces of the sea. Heading inland slightly, we pass the Abbey at Leiston and across the estuary once again at Snape and then back to the sea at Orford with its imposing castle. Our day ends near here - a welcome slumber amongst the pine forest - well needed rest before our final journey back to Nacton via Rendlesham forest and Woodbridge. I thoroughly enjoyed this mini tour of the Eastern coastal area of Suffolk - so much history spanning millennia and countryside that takes your breath away at every turn.
