Clinic Conversations: Canada’s Integrated Health Clinic

In this episode of The Moss Report Podcast, Ralph W. Moss, PhD, interviews Gurdev Parmar, ND about his work introducing naturopathic integrative medicine to Canada, and the strides that he’s made in his clinics, published studies, and inspiring a new generation of naturopathic practitioners. Dr. Parmar is the Co-founder and Medical Director of the Integrated Health Clinic (IHC), along with his wife and partner, Karen Parmar, ND. IHC is now, after 20 years, the largest naturopathic clinic in Canada, having treated over 15,000 cancer cases. Their clinic specializes in a number of treatments including whole-body Hyperthermia using an Oncotherm regional mEHT device, technology from Germany that Dr. Parmar successfully got federally approved in both Canada and Mexico. Dr. Parmar recently published a 5 and 8-year retrospective study on survival times for patients who added hyperthermia to the standard of care and compared OS to SOC alone. The study shows a significant improvement to OS in all 10 of the most commonly seen stage 4 solid tumor entities. He is also the lead author and editor in chief of the Textbook of Naturopathic Oncology: A desktop guide of integrative cancer care, a book he uses as the Residency director of a naturopathic oncology residency program. Parmar is currently working on opening a second clinic location 10 minutes from the US border in order to better serve all American patients looking for hyperthermia treatments. This new clinic opens its doors in White Rock, British Columbia on September 1st, 2021.
