perfect days in Japan

one of my favorite films is Perfect Days by Wim Wenders. since the first time i watched it, i’ve recommended it to everyone i love, and i’ve rewatched it myself several times. i became obsessed with the beauty of the everyday that Hirayama inhabits, not because of his life itself, but because of how he sees it. happiness comes from within, and pleasures often get confused with momentary desires. apart from making me look inward and reflect on what truly makes me happy in my own everyday life, like my showers in the morning or the connection of my thoughts to the random things i see in my everyday, each rewatch also deepened my desire to go to Japan, a dream i’ve had since childhood. i was mesmerized by the photography in the film. every mundane landscape, even those trees, had its own special feeling. while trying to focus on the joys already present in my life, i didn't want to prioritize another trip, but this summer, a dream I had always had and never thought i would experience became true, thanks to Sony.
