Dutch Sheets: Stretching Into Next Season’s Wineskin (Mark 2:22)

Dutch Sheets: Stretching Into Next Season’s Wineskin (Mark 2:22) Dutch speaks at Riverside Church in Clarksville, TN, on 3/21/2021. Quotes: “Every believer, if you make the right choices, and you're walking in enough humility to realize you don't know it all, you don't have it all figured out - if you're just walking in humility and you stay hungry, every believer can be a fresh new wineskin. Every believer can be a part of every outpouring, every phase, everything the Holy Spirit wants to do as He takes us from glory to glory, strength to strength, faith to faith, brighter and brighter.” Full service here: https://bit.ly/41ewr1e You’ve been “blessed to be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2) Pay it forward! I don't want to miss one. How did we get into that? Well, because I said to you, "God's about to change things, and systems and ways.” It's not just leaders, by the way. Get people sitting out in the pew and God starts doing new things and leaders start doing things differently. I'm not talking about the innovative junk that cuts the Holy Spirit out of everything. I'm talking about, just the Holy Spirit starts doing things and he gives downloads of things to leaders, and they start doing things differently, preaching differently, teaching differently, doing this or that. Then a bunch of old wine skins out there, start to say I say, "Oh well I don't like that!" When God started teaching me on the apostolic and the prophetic and ecclesia and some of the things I'm teaching now, and I started realizing my gift mix. I said, "I just realized that I have to be who I am. I’ve got to be who I am. God, you give us people in this house that have pastor gifts, that love to sit down with somebody and nurture and heal them and counsel them and love on them and shepherd them! And I hate doing that stuff! I get to be who I am now. So then I start having people in the congregation come to me. It's because start teaching this stuff. I said, "I'm not your pastor" and I'm not. I'm in that position because in America we call the person that leads a congregation, the pastor. But you can call me pastor if you want. Just know I'm not your pastor. He's your pastor, she's your pastor, I'm your teacher, apostle, whatever you want to call me - I don't care what you call me. Just know I'm not going to do that. Someone would say, "Well, I want to talk to Pastor Dutch." I would say, “Well, you're not going to talk to Pastor Dutch. With his attitude now, you don't even want to talk to him.” I would say, "I will fix you in two minutes!” Then they would say, "I'm going to go find the real pastor!" I'd been teaching and talking about this, and it would get back to me that, "So and so didn't like it and they arere leaving." I'd say, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out! If you want to leave and go someplace else, GO!” My wife Cece was just begging me after I said it... "Why do you have to say that? Please stop" I would say, “I'm going to do what God says!" She would just sit there and shake her head. Sometimes God starts doing things, showing you things, and you swing the pendulum too far from wisdom. You can become a stupid new wine skin. So I stopped saying that. I started saying, "We have somebody else that'll love up on you." God starts pouring out new understanding. He's doing things differently. People that thought they wanted it, find out their wines can't get in the new skin. So they complain and they whine, and they move on. But every believer, if you make the right choices, and you're walking in enough humility to realize you don't know it all. You don't have it all figured out. If you're just walking in humility and you stay hungry, every believer can be a fresh new wineskin. Every believer can be a part of every outpouring, every phase, everything the Holy Spirit wants to do as He takes us from glory to glory, strength to strength, faith to faith, brighter and brighter. You can be a part of all of that if you want to. A lot of people don't know that when Jesus taught on the new wineskin, Matthew 9, he said... King James uses the word new twice "new wine is to be put in new bottles." It's a skin. So some translations change it from new wine has to be put into fresh wineskins. And the reason they do that is because the two words for new in that passage are different. New wines to be put in a new skin. Completely different words. Naoussa wine has to be put in a kind of skin in Greek. Naoussa means more, new in the sense of another, but not different in kind and quality.
