Thin Lizzy - Live from Birmingham, 10 February 1974
The picture was taken by Ian Dickson. Tour: Vagabonds of the Western World Date: 10 February 1974 Venue: Barbarella's City: Birmingham, England, UK Used recording(s): • Audience recording (B): Lineage unknown Luckily, in the past few days I've found a "new" batch of Thin Lizzy shows, which I'm gonna upload over the next couple of days and weeks. This gig from early 1974 sees the band playing at Barbarella's, a small club and restaurant in Birmingham, that was open from 1972 until the summer of 1979. The band, for the first of many times backed by Gary Moore instead of Eric Bell on lead guitar, give a fantastic performance, full of energy and passion. The setlist includes five tracks off the "Vagabonds of the Western World" album, as well as older numbers and "Showdown" from their upcoming "Nightlife" record. The final song is a J. Geils Band song called "Hard Drivin' Man". Towards the end of the main set, Gary, who's having an awesome night at the office, plays a sweet blues improvisation piece, showing off his whole set of skills. 00:00:00 - 01.
