Since the remeasurement, the highest point lies entirely within the state of Salzburg. The day before I hiked the Venediger North Ridge of the Großvenediger with Andy and Tom, I headed to Neukirchen am Großvenediger. At the Wildkogelbahn parking lot, I met a team from Salzburger Land Tourism and some Instagram influencers. It was fascinating. I got to experience Instagram pros up close at work. I thought I'd share these experiences with you in a vlog. The video, "With an Instagram Influencer and a Mountain Guide on the Großvenediger," isn't just meant to show you the tour via the normal route from Salzburg to the Großvenediger, but also to give you an insight into how often Instagram influencers carry their phones and cameras. Ultimately, as I say in the video, you can think what you want about it. I find it remarkable how much equipment these people lug up the mountain, how much thought they put into it, how much time they invest, just to take the perfect photo and share it on their social media channels. The results of the photos are truly amazing (though not shown in this video). This video is meant to be a kind of documentary about influencers, showing you a bit of the process behind it all. Some of the people had never been at such an altitude before, never done such a long tour. Accordingly, it was quite a challenge for them to deal with the altitude and all the equipment in alpine terrain. Our mountain guide(s) did a fantastic job getting us all up and down. That was also a new experience for me: I've been to the Großvenediger almost 10 times before (including the Alpinefex Großvenediger video from winter, which many of you are already familiar with), always alone on the summit ridge without a rope or as the lead climber. This time, I was roped in at the back of the team, on the mountain guide's short rope. All in all, a truly great experience. In this video, you see the tour from Neukirchen am Großvenediger by bus to the Hopffeldboden parking lot, from where we were transferred to the Obersulzbachtal valley. We had lunch at the Postalm and then hiked up to the Kürsingerhütte. At the Kürsingerhütte, we discussed the next day's plans. I'll show you the facilities at the Kürsinger Hut, and the following day, I'll show you the ascent from the Kürsinger Hut via the Obersulzbachkees glacier and the standard route from Salzburg over the Venedigerscharte pass, past the Kleinvenediger to the Großvenediger summit, and back to the Kürsinger Hut.
