Arrochar Alps Complete: Ben Vorlich & Ben Vane

Completing the four Arrochar Alps with the final two Munros, Ben Vorlich and Ben Vane, marks the region complete for me, following on from Beinn Ime and Ben Narnain. Low cloud and mist on the tops made for a proper Scottish hillwalking morning, and it felt good to finally tick off this classic Munro round above Loch Lomond. My original plan was to do the four in a weekend, with a camp in-between, but life got in the way and that wasn't to happen. Sometimes we just need to push on and everything will come good in the end. ■ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro 01:06 The Route & Conditions 02:55 Starting Ben Vorlich 03:27 Climbing Slog 04:54 Mountain Reflection 06:36 Views of Loch Lomond 07:31 Plateau Approach to Summit 09:10 Ben Vorlich Summit and Sandwich 13:16 Starting Ben Vane 13:48 Fatigue Setting In 14:52 Slowly to the Summit 16:20 A False Summit 17:44 Looking Back to Ben Vorlich 18:53 6.5 hours of walking and views 20:39 Ben Vane Summit and Sandwich 23:00 Final Thoughts Disclaimer: All views and opinions in this video are my own.
