Part II video of Janshaba organised by Darjeeling District Constitutional Right People' Forum on 20.06.2026. demanding deliberation on the constitutional rights of Darjeeling District as a Partially Excluded Area. DDCRPF asserted that Darjeeling District, being a treaty-obligated area of the former Kingdom of Sikkim and having been retained as an Absorbed Area after Independence, should be merged with the State of Sikkim. According to DDCRPF, this represents the ultimate Constitutional and Permanent Political Solution for Darjeeling District, consistent with the relevant Treaties, Acts, and Rights enshrined in the Constitution. The gathering reflected a united voice for justice, identity, and demand for constitutional rights of Darjeeling District.
