Hello and Welcome to Deaf Talks News! We have a very shocking and emotional survival story from Wayanad, Kerala. A massive landslide in Wayanad district in Kerala. Heavy rain caused mud and water to rush down the mountains at tremendous speed. Let me explain. During the landslide a couple from Madurai Balraj and Kudammal work as plantation labourers in Wayanad district. On that day they had gone to a bus stop near a tunnel entrance. They were waiting there to go to the bank. Suddenly heavy rain started pouring down. Then without any warning a terrifying loud sound. A massive landslide began. The couple turned around and saw the entire mountain collapsing towards them. They were frozen with shock for a moment. Then they grabbed each other's hands tightly and ran backwards as fast as they could. But then something even more terrifying happened. A large tanker lorry that was standing on the bridge. Due to heavy water and mud it was pushed away. The lorry started moving towards them as if it was chasing them. They ran desperately trying to escape both the landslide and the moving lorry. While running they tripped and fell to the ground. The lorry passed over them and somehow miraculously they survived. They were trapped under the lorry for a brief terrifying moment and came out alive. But still many people have lost their lives. Pray for those.
