Finance and community shares webinar (Community Energy GO)
Community Energy GO: This event is part of a series of webinars for a programme called Community Energy GO, which is run by Centre for Sustainable Energy, Ashden, and Community Energy England. Community Energy GO connects community groups across England with expert advice to help make their community energy projects happen. Alongside this, we are running a series of webinars to support groups with useful information. Check out the website for more information about the programme and the support that's available: communityenergygo.org.uk. About this webinar: In this webinar, we heard from two experts in the field, Phillip Morris, Senior Development Manager at Empowered, and Simon Borkin, founder of Commonly. It was chaired by John Taylor, Head of Capacity Building at Community Energy England. Securing finance is one of the most important steps for any community energy project. This session is for those relatively new to, or just starting out in community energy, to understand some of the key principles of project viability and successfully raising finance for community energy projects.
