Cascamorras 1979

In 1976 RTVE issued a chapter (recorded in 1975) of the "Raices" series dedicated to the Cascamorras. This program caused great discomfort and controversy among the Bastetans and accitanos, in addition to the rest of the country, due to the treatment (fierce and exaggerated) that was made of this character so endearing: he was mistreated and looked at an evidently drunk Cascamorras and possibly with some kind of disability, allegedly sponsored by the program team. Marcos Caparrós echoed this malaise, and decided to make his own version of The Cascamorras, and show a film more in line with what it really was. He recorded in Super8 cinema in 1977 and 1978 (with more will than media) and finished it for the 1979 Fair. He was projecting in the premises of the current town hall, continuously, every afternoon of that Fair, with great success of assistance. We recently found the movie in our archives, but Unfortunately, the passage of time has not been benevolent ... The film is quite damaged, and we have done our best to correct the flaws with current technology, and the audio has not been possible to recover it.
